About Anabelle

Anabelle Smith has already secured her position in the Diving Australia history books with an Olympic Games medal from Rio to her name. The Victorian has a long list of high-level achievements including three Olympic Games appearances, three Commonwealth Games medals, and thirteen FINA Diving World Series podium finishes.

  • How did you get your start in diving? I loved teaching myself tricks on my backyard trampoline, then I tried a diving holiday program, I was talent-scouted and never looked back!
  • What has been the greatest influence on your sporting career? My coaches, my family and my inner circle / support team.
  • Who is your diving inspiration? Wu Minxia.
  • What do you love about diving? Pushing myself to keep improving.
  • Most challenging part of diving? Managing my body and my load.
  • Favourite place to dive: London
  • Something you might not know about me: I am allergic to a lot of things! 
  • Hobbies outside of diving: Travelling, sport and anything outdoors and adventurous
