In 1908 at the games of the IV Olympiad in London, Reginald “Snowy” Baker became the first Australian to compete in Olympic diving when he placed sixth in group four of the Men’s 3-Metre Springboard event.
Generations of Aussie divers have built upon Baker’s Olympic history claiming a haul of three gold, three silver, and eight bronze in Olympic competition. Since the Sydney 2000 Games, Australian divers have achieved podium finishes at each subsequent Olympiad maintaining a medal winning streak through six Games.
