Diving Australia has officially launched its 2026–2028 Participation Plan, marking an important milestone in the ongoing growth and development of the sport nationwide.

The new plan provides a clear, strategic framework to strengthen participation across all levels of diving, with a strong emphasis on safety, inclusion and long-term sustainability. It sets out a nationally consistent approach designed to support communities, clubs and participants, while ensuring the sport continues to thrive well into the future.

Development of the Participation Plan was informed by extensive consultation with state bodies, clubs and key stakeholders across the diving community. Their insights, expertise and lived experience played a vital role in shaping a plan that reflects the needs of participants and the realities of delivering the sport at a grassroots level.

Diving Australia also acknowledges the support and guidance of the Australian Sports Commission throughout the process. The plan aligns with the Commission’s Play Well framework, reinforcing a community-focused approach that prioritises positive, safe and enjoyable experiences for everyone involved in diving.
