About Diving Australia

Diving Australia (DA) is the national sporting organisation for the Olympic sports of springboard and platform diving and the newly popular sport of high diving.

DA has a strong track record of high-performance success, winning a significant number of Olympic, World Championship, Commonwealth and other international medals. Off the back of our most successful World Championships in Doha 2024, DA is now looking to build momentum as we head towards the Paris 2024, Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.

As a result, we wish to recruit an ‘Administration Support and Project Officer’.

DA has a truly national performance pathway program with strong State Institute support in five major centres, based at world-class aquatics facilities, with world class coaching and medical support systems. We strive to be the world’s leading diving nation.

About the role

The Administration Support and Project Officer will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, assuming primary accountability for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our head office functions. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the broader DA team, offering administrative, operational, logistical, and project support to DA’s Executive.

Your core duties will include:

  • Act as the first point of contact for DA, providing a high level of service to all internal and external parties;

  • Provide administrative support to the CEO including but not limited to arranging meetings and booking travel;

  • Administration for Board meetings and coordinating Board meeting logistics including calendar invites, meeting rooms, travel and accommodation as needed;

  • Support the GM Participation and SD with the administration of DA national competitions;

  • Lead on the delivery of identified projects to support the efficient and effective running of head office and DA;

  • Deliver on key deadlines associated with the role;

  • Other duties as identified.

This is a fixed term full-time role, based in Brisbane, offering a competitive package. The contract period is until 30th June 2025, with the potential to extend for the next cycle.

About you

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to maintain an assertive but friendly and diplomatic manner when dealing with external and internal contacts and to remain calm and good humoured in all situations.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines with a can-do attitude and proactive approach to take on new challenges.

  • Computer Literacy including MS Office Suite with an aptitude in learning other specific industry or commercial software and web applications.
