2021 FINA World Cup Selection Trials - Recap

Although the 2021 FINA Diving World Cup Selection Trials were cut short due to a state mandated lockdown, the Brisbane Aquatic Centre hosted two days of spectacular diving. In the first national level event in more than a year, divers from across the country displayed a solid return to form as they competed for a ticket to April’s FINA Diving World Cup.

Brisbane Lockdown Update - Age

As no doubt you have all seen, Brisbane will enter a 3 day Lockdown this evening. Whilst DA remains hopeful that this current outbreak will be resolved ahead of Age Nationals, we will monitor the situation over the next few days and provide updates whenever we can.

2021 FINA World Cup Selection Trials - Preview

Australia’s top divers are in action this weekend as the Diving Australia 2021 FINA World Cup Selection Trials are set to begin in Brisbane. The four-day competition hosted at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre from Sunday the 28th of March, will see athletes vie for the opportunity to represent their country at next month’s FINA Diving World Cup in Tokyo.

Diving Australia is on the lookout for talented kids to come and join us for a FREE Talent Trial in your home state. Are you a Gymnast, Trampolinist or Acro performer? You might also be a great diver! There's no need to have any diving experience, it's all about getting involved on the day and trying something new and FUN!

Brisbane Becomes Olympic 2032 Preferred Host

Diving Australia welcomes the decision by the International Olympic Committee to engage in targeted dialogue with the city of Brisbane who has become the preferred host of the 2032 Summer Olympic Games.

New Anti-Doping Policy for Diving Australia

The Diving Australia anti-doping policy is the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy, effective from 1 January 2021 and found on the below link to the Sport Integrity Australia website. All members, participants and non-participants in the sport of Diving are bound by these rules.

Barbara Donnet

With great sadness, Diving Australia mourns the passing of Life Member, Barbara Donnet. Barbara, and indeed the Donnet family, are synonymous with Diving in Australia. An Olympian (1956), and two time Commonwealth Games medallist, including Gold on 10m in 1954, Barbara leaves an amazing legacy in our sport.

COVID-19 Update - Events

Whilst I know each State Association has been keeping you up to date with State based information, I am conscious that it has been some time since I provided an update from Diving Australia. My apologies for that. DA, and I am sure I can speak for the entire diving community, is right behind Victoria in their efforts to contain the outbreak you face. We know it is incredibly challenging for Victorians and we wish you all the very best.

Mathew Helm moving to Melbourne

Diving Australia has today announced that WAIS Head Coach Mathew Helm, will relocate to Melbourne to take up the role of Acting National Coach, Melbourne.

ASADA becoming Sport Integrity Australia

With ASADA soon to become known as Sport Integrity Australia, our Anti-Doping Policy needs a few tweaks. The attached is a start and we envisage a new policy in coming weeks.
