The youngest member of the Australian National Squad Alysha Koloi, is fresh off triple national titles from the recent Diving Australia Junior National Championships and days away from flying out to her inaugural Junior World Championships. Koloi sat down to talk results from Junior Nationals, her experiences as part of National Teams and what it’s like training with World and Commonwealth Games Champions.
Victorian Platform Specialist AnnaRose Keating has had a whirlwind year that included a podium finish at the Calgary FINA Diving Grand Prix and a strong showing at the Commonwealth Games alongside synchro partner Brittany O’Brien. Now in the final stages of preparations before the World Junior Championships later this month, Keating sat down to talk about diving during school lunches, competing in front of a home crowd and the challenges that divers face working with a new synchro partner.
Diving Australia took home two medals from the 2018 FINA Diving World Cup held in Wuhan, China earlier this month in the Men’s Platform Synchro and Women’s 3m Synchro. Diving Australia National Head Coach Ady Hinchliffe sat down to talk results from the competition and the next step on the journey to Tokyo 2020.

The 2018 Australian Elite Junior Championships were held in Hobart between 15-17 June and thanks to Diving Tasmania, the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre and the wonderful volunteers that assisted, it was a great success!
Diving Australia has today announced that Wang Tong Xiang, universally known as Mr Wang, will be retiring later this year.
A Life Member of Diving Australia, Mr Wang has been a critical part of Australian Diving since he first arrived in Australia in 1990 from his native country, China, where he had been a National Team Coach.

What an amazing Commonwealth Games! the Australian Diving Team were fantastic with great performances across the Board(s) - pun intended. 11 medals were won (3 more than Glasgow) including 3 Gold. Australia had not won more than 2 Gold's since 2006!
The Australian Diving Team had a fantastic 4th and final day at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.Â
With the Men's 10m and Women's 3m events to finish the program, Australia had 6 athletes competing.Â

With the higher individual boards starting on Day 2, Australia had the 6 divers looking to make an impact. First up was Men's 3m prelims with Kurtis Mathews, James Connor and Matt Carter.Â
Things kicked off with the Men's 1m Prelims and Australia qualified all three divers into the final with James and Matt in the middle of the finalists and Kurtis sneaking in to the final in 12th. Jack Laugher looked sharp and the man to beat for the final.
Commonwealth Games veteran Melissa Wu is leading a small Australian team to China and Japan over the next fortnight to compete in two diving World Series events in the lead-up to the Gold Coast Games.
Wu, who at 25 will be competing at her fourth Commonwealth Games next month, will be contesting the individual platform events at both World Series, and will also team up with South Australia’s Taneka Kovchenko in the platform synchro, the event they will contest on the Gold Coast.
