Applications re-open for Beyond the Boards Grant
Published Fri 23 May 2025
Diving Australia’s Athlete Committee is opening applications up for the 2024 Beyond the Boards (BTB) grants with funds still available for suitable candidates.
The objective of the grant is to support athletes as they set themselves up for a career post diving. Athletes may use the money to support their development outside the pool and eligible applicants may apply for a cash payment up to $2,500.
DA Athlete Committee Chair Emily Meaney said the group was keen to ensure the total budget was providing, ensuring more athletes received crucial funding for their career development.
“With the 2024 Grant budget not fully maximised we want to extend another opportunity to those that have may have already applied but were not successful or those who have not yet applied.”
“One of our key goals as a committee is to find ways to support our current and recently retired athletes to develop their skills so they can go on to have amazing careers outside of the dive pool. We know there are more deserving athletes who would benefit from this money.”
Current or retired categorised athletes, or previous athletes on an AIS Diving Scholarship may apply, with former grant recipients spanning Diving Australia Alumni, National Squad athletes and current and former SIS/SAS athletes.
Athletes are encouraged to download the information memo (via the link below), which contains the eligibility and selection criteria as well as the official application form.
Applications may be submitted to athletecommittee@diving.org.au no later than 6th June 2025. Those that were successful in the first round are not eligible.
