Diving Australia wishes to congratulate Gillian Brooker for being named as a Diving Official at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

This will be Brooker’s third time judging at an Olympics following stints at both the Rio and Tokyo Olympics.

Brooker, the CEO of Diving New South Wales, has been named by World Aquatics as the Oceania Representative for the Paris 2024 Diving Competition.

Diving Australia CEO Alex Newton was eager to officially congratulate Brooker on her appointment.

“Not only is this a wonderful personal achievement for Gillian but one the entire Australian diving community can be proud of," Newton said.

“It is a rare feat to be selected to officiate at one Olympic Games, let alone three. This is a tremendous achievement, and it affirms Australia is a world class judging nation in diving. Our athletes will benefit from having an international judge of Gillian's calibre at future national events.

“Just as we will support our athletes in Paris, we now have an official that we can get behind,” Newton concluded.

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games begin on 26 July.
